Nexon Launches Global Fighting Game 'DNF Duel' on PC and Console Platforms

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Nexon is accelerating its global market expansion by launching the PC and console fighting game ‘DNF Duel’ on June 28.

On the 20th, Nexon revealed the release schedule and participation in the ‘Arc World Tour 2022’ for the first time through the official DNF Duel YouTube channel.

Starting June 28, Nexon will begin servicing DNF Duel on global distribution platforms such as Steam and PlayStation 4 and 5, targeting users in Korea, Japan, North America, Europe, and other regions on PC and console platforms.

DNF Duel has been officially selected as a title for the global fighting esports tournament ‘Arc World Tour 2022’ hosted by Arc System Works in the second half of this year. The tournament is officially sponsored by Sony Interactive Entertainment America (SIEA) and Nexon Korea.

Ryosuke Kodani, Development Director at Arc System Works, stated, “We have worked hard to build a comfortable and stable online environment for DNF Duel,” adding, “By combining Neople’s expertise in action genre development with Arc System Works’ technology, we will present a fighting game that anyone can easily enjoy.”

Meanwhile, DNF Duel is a 2.5D graphic-based fighting game utilizing the ‘Dungeon & Fighter’ intellectual property (IP), which has a global fandom of 850 million. It is jointly developed by Japanese Arc System Works, famous for fighting games such as ‘Guilty Gear’ and ‘BlazBlue,’ and Neople.
