[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 18th that it will promote a support project for attaching diesel vehicle emission reduction devices and replacing construction machinery engines to reduce fine dust and improve air quality.
The application period for the support project is from the 21st to the 31st of this month.
Residents of Hwasun-eup can apply by visiting the large conference room on the 4th floor of the County Office Council Building, and residents of the myeon areas can apply at their respective myeon administrative welfare centers.
The support project for attaching diesel vehicle emission reduction devices can be applied for online by signing up as a member on the 'Vehicle Emission Grade System website.'
The support targets are diesel vehicles with emission grade 5, forklifts and excavators equipped with engines subject to emission regulations before 2014 (Tier-1 or lower).
Additionally, ▲ as of the announcement date (March 18, 2022), the place of use must be registered in the county, and ▲ there must be no record of attaching emission reduction devices or converting to low-emission engines with government subsidy support.
The support amount covers about 90% of the attachment cost for diesel vehicle emission reduction devices, and the engine replacement for construction machinery will be fully supported without any self-payment.
If selected for the project and the device is attached (or replaced), a mandatory operation period of at least two years must be observed.
If the mandatory operation period is not observed, the support funds may be reclaimed according to the subsidy recovery rate based on the usage period, so special caution is required.
