The Pingolf i525 iron (photo) features a hollow blade forged line. The forged maraging steel face, made using the VFT (Variable Face Thickness) method applied in metal woods, combines with a 17-4 stainless steel body with an internal undercut technology in the sole to maximize ball speed with a high-rebound head. It is described as "a new weapon that captures distance, forgiveness, and feel all at once."

The player style is a compact design. The face's repulsion power is increased to extend distance, and tungsten weights directly contribute to forgiveness. Additionally, MicroMax™ technology is added. With an average of four extra grooves, it reduces flyer shots in short irons, while providing excellent ball control and consistency in long iron shots. The face surface is finished with HydroPearl 2.0.
