The TaylorMade Spider GT series putter (photo) features a mallet design. There are four types: Spider GT, Notchback, Rollback, and Splitback. The design focuses on maximizing stability with a modern head shape, and it is equipped with the 2nd generation Pure Roll insert, delivering the soft impact feel and roll preferred by amateur golfers.

The 45-degree aluminum beam and black TPU urethane allow the ball to roll with faster forward spin. This provides stable rolling power. Additionally, the fluted feel shaft offers smooth and quick feedback. Vertical grooves on the shaft tip, 5 inches above, enhance straight-line effect at impact. The Tri Sole helps the face square up during address on various lies.

The GT features a lightweight 145g top plate made of 6061 aluminum. The short alignment line is impressive. The luxurious appearance and PVD finish contribute to enhanced durability. Among mid-size mallet putters, the Notchback achieves the highest MOI, while the Rollback adds weight to the rear with a classic half-moon design. The Splitback is unique with its 304 stainless steel structure and strategically injected urethane foam inside the head.
