[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] Law firm Dongin (Representative Lawyer No Sanggyun) announced on the 16th that it has newly recruited three legal professionals who are former chief judges.
Hong Changwoo, former chief judge of Seoul Central District Court (54, Judicial Research and Training Institute Class 27), graduated from Gyeongnam High School and Seoul National University with a degree in Public Law. He passed the 37th Judicial Examination in 1995 and was appointed as a judge at Busan District Court in 1998. He served as a judge at Uijeongbu Branch of Seoul District Court, Seoul Family Court, and Seoul High Court, and worked as a chief judge at Changwon District Court, Incheon District Court, and Seoul Northern District Court.
Byun Minseon, former chief judge of Seoul Central District Court (57, Class 28), graduated from Jeju Oh Hyun High School and Seoul National University with a degree in Sociology. She passed the 38th Judicial Examination in 1996. She was appointed as a judge at Busan District Court in 1999 and served as a judge at Uijeongbu District Court, Seoul Northern District Court, and Seoul Central District Court, and held the position of chief judge at Jeju District Court and Uijeongbu District Court.
Lee Eunjeong, former chief judge of Busan District Court (49, Class 33), graduated from Daegu Hyehwa High School and Korea University with a degree in Law. She passed the 43rd Judicial Examination in 2001. After being appointed as a judge at Uijeongbu District Court in 2004, she served as a judge at Seoul High Court, Seoul Family Court, Andong Branch of Daegu District Court, and Seoul Central District Court. From 2010 to 2019, she worked as a judge at Seoul Family Court, handling various family cases.
Recently, Dongin also recruited lawyer Park Gidu (Bar Exam 2nd), a graduate of the Korean National Police University, to respond efficiently at the police investigation stage amid adjustments to prosecution and police investigation authority. Lawyer Park graduated from Gyeongnam Science High School, Korean National Police University, and Chung-Ang University Law School. He served at Gyeongnam Police Agency, Incheon Western Police Station, Seoul Nowon Police Station, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and Ulsan Jungbu Police Station, holding positions such as head of the Traffic Investigation Team at Ulsan Jungbu Police Station, Litigation Division at the Police Agency Legal Affairs Department, and head of the Economic Crime Investigation Team at Seoul Seongbuk Police Station.
Earlier, on the 20th of last month, Dongin recruited former Chief Military Court Judge Park Jonghyung (Military Law Class 11), who served as Chief Prosecutor of the Army Headquarters Legal Office, Legal Advisor of the 2nd Operations Command, Legal Officer of the Ministry of National Defense, and Director of the Army Headquarters Legal Office.
Dongin stated, "By recruiting lawyers with abundant experience and expertise in various fields including the courts, we expect to further enhance Dongin's capabilities," and added, "We will continue to boldly invest in recruiting and nurturing outstanding talent."
