MetaBlue Partners with YummyFun to Revive Local Small Businesses

Metaverse specialist company MetaBlue (CEOs: Kang Sang-hyun, Kim Seong-hwan) and YamiFun (CEO: Lee Na-yeon), which operates a subscription economy platform for small business owners, announced that they will join forces to revitalize local small businesses.

YamiFun launched a region-certified subscription economy platform at the end of last year and is rapidly expanding its franchise stores. From the perspective of small business owners, besides subscription fee income, stable sales are secured through continuous visits from store subscribers, and it is convenient as there is no need to build a subscription system. From the customers’ perspective, the number of app downloads is increasing due to word of mouth that subscribing regularly to frequently used stores such as reading rooms or coffee shops near their workplace or home offers more benefits than the money spent.

MetaBlue plans to upgrade YamiFun’s existing service by integrating metaverse technology and AR (augmented reality) features. In other words, users will be able to explore other stores in the metaverse space, acquire and exchange additional coupons, and each store will broadcast services and advertisements using AR features to generate additional demand.

The collaboration between MetaBlue and YamiFun is also attracting great interest from frontline local government officials who are doing their best to revive the regional economy, and attention from local governments and the industry is expected to focus on the fruits of this partnership in the future.
