[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Chosun University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation announced on the 15th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for industry-academic cooperation with IP Shop.
The signing ceremony was held on the 14th with the attendance of 12 university and institution officials, including Chosun University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Director Choi Han-cheol, Startup Support Center Director Hwang Seok-seung, Graduate School Dean Jeong Jin-cheol, IP Shop Vice Chairman Yang Baek, and Business Planning Team Leader Lee Jin-woo.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ establishing a gallery in the Gwangju area or on campus ▲ supporting the commercialization of customized technology startups ▲ contributing to the revitalization of the local employment market through cooperation to promote NFT-related businesses by discovering our culture such as local high art and traditional art ▲ opening and operating a cooperative course for NFT cultural and artistic business.
Through this agreement, both organizations plan to promote workforce development, research and development (R&D), and business model expansion related to cultural and artistic NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), and mutually cooperate to nurture cultural, artistic, and engineering professionals through joint use of personnel and facilities.
Choi Han-cheol, Director of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, said, “We expect Chosun University to play a leading role in the NFT field through cooperation with IP Shop Co., Ltd.,” and added, “I hope both organizations will strive to make this a practical industry-academic cooperation.”
Vice Chairman Yang Baek said, “Among the various fields of the 4th Industrial Revolution, new technologies such as NFTs and the metaverse based on digital assets are receiving great attention in academia. I hope today's agreement will be an opportunity for Chosun University and IP Shop Co., Ltd. to discover and nurture talent and grow together.”
