[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] On the 14th, the Justice Party commented on President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol's campaign promise to abolish the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, stating, "(The promise to abolish the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family) was a symbol of Lee Jun-seok-style divide-and-conquer tactics. While it may have been a slogan to rally the support base, it is time for a change," and added, "The promise to abolish the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family must be withdrawn."

Kang Min-jin, leader of the Youth Justice Party, said at a leadership meeting held at the National Assembly that day, "President-elect Yoon has announced plans to abolish the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in the new government, but this is far from the integration and cooperation he emphasized immediately after his election."

The party also urged the passage of political reform bills such as the introduction of a multiparty system. Justice Party leader Yeo Young-guk said at the meeting, "We must open the era of multiparty democracy starting from the local elections," and added, "The National Assembly's Political Reform Special Committee should be convened promptly to handle the local election system reform bills first."

Lee Dong-young, chief spokesperson, also stated in a briefing, "Democratic Party floor leader Yoon Ho-jung (co-chair of the emergency committee) expressed the view that the satellite party incident was inevitable because the opposition parties created them first," and added, "If the Democratic Party still holds a perception of blaming others, doubts about the party's commitment to political reform are inevitable."

He emphasized, "They must actively engage in electoral system reform that guarantees diversity and proportionality, such as the introduction of multi-member districts for basic councilors."
