Daegu Has the Highest, Jeonnam the Lowest

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] As of 8 a.m. on the 9th, the voter turnout for the 20th presidential election was recorded at 5.0%.
According to the National Election Commission, as of 8 a.m. today, out of 44,197,692 registered voters in the 14,464 polling stations nationwide where the 20th presidential election voting began, 2,211,443 people had cast their votes.
By region, Daegu (6.1%), Gyeonggi, Daejeon, and Jeju (5.4%) led the turnout, while Jeonnam (3.5%), Jeonbuk (3.8%), and Gwangju (4.2%) showed relatively lower voter turnout.
The voter turnout on this day does not include the early voting turnout (36.93%) conducted on the 4th and 5th. The early voting turnout will be combined starting from 1 p.m. today.
