[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Sangju City, Gyeongbuk Province, is launching a project to improve tourism service facility environments.
This project is jointly promoted by Gyeongsang Province and Sangju City and is overseen by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Culture and Tourism Corporation.
The application period is from the 10th to the 18th of this month, targeting food establishments and tourism accommodation businesses near local tourist attractions.
For food establishments, it is mandatory to improve seating facilities from traditional floor seating to Western-style seating. Other eligible improvements include open kitchens, restroom environment upgrades, and replacement of signs and menus.
The support amount is up to 20 million KRW per establishment, with at least 40% of the total project cost required as self-funding.
For accommodation businesses, up to 5 million KRW per establishment is provided for indoor facility guide boards, promotional material stands, bedding, wallpaper, and lighting replacements, with at least 40% of the total project cost as self-funding.
