Guo Mingchi's PC Lineup Outlook on Twitter
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] "This year, Apple will introduce a stronger 'Mac Mini' in its PC lineup and a large PC product with a 27-inch screen that does not feature mini LED."
Guo Mingchi, a well-known Apple insider and analyst at TF International Securities, shared on Twitter on the 7th his outlook on Apple's desktop and laptop PC product lineup releases for 2022 and 2023.
The Mac Mini is interpreted to come with more powerful processor capabilities. The next-generation Mac Mini is expected to be equipped with Apple's in-house developed system-on-chip (SoC), either the high-performance M1X or M2 chip.
The large PC product with a 27-inch screen is believed to refer to the all-in-one desktop PC, the iMac. This contrasts with Bloomberg's Mark Gurman's forecast of a 24-inch iMac product release.
Guo Mingchi also predicted that Apple will introduce the 'Mac Pro' and 'iMac Pro' in 2023. These are expected to be high-performance versions powered by the in-house SoC M2 chip.
Meanwhile, the first PC lineup of this year will be unveiled at the Apple Special Event held at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, USA, on the 8th (local time). At this event, the budget model iPhone SE 3rd generation, new iPad Air, and new Mac products will be showcased.
