H Plus Yangji Hospital 46th Anniversary... "Promoting Construction of Second Hospital with 1000 Beds Level"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] H Plus Yangji Hospital, celebrating its 46th anniversary, is planning to expand the hospital and build a second hospital with approximately 1,000 beds to prepare for the 'post-COVID-19' era.

H Plus Yangji Hospital presented this vision at the anniversary ceremony held on the 2nd. Hospital Director Kim Sang-il stated in his commemorative speech, "Marking the 46th anniversary as a turning point, we anticipate many changes in the post-COVID-19 era. To prepare for this, and to advance medical services and establish a dynamic medical environment, we will not only expand the current hospital but also build a second hospital with about 1,000 beds in a third region."

H Plus Yangji Hospital, a regional base general hospital in the southwestern area of Seoul, originated from Kim Cheol-su Internal Medicine and Kim Ran-hee Obstetrics and Gynecology, which opened on March 2, 1976. It currently has 291 beds, 32 clinical departments, 2 specialized hospitals, 6 specialized treatment centers, and the H+ Biomedical Research Institute. Additionally, it operates an acute rehabilitation hospital and H Plus Rehabilitation Independence Hospital in Guro-gu.

Notably, after the spread of COVID-19, it was the first in the world to introduce the 'Walk-Through System,' which was registered as the first patent for 'K-Walk-Through' by the Korean Intellectual Property Office in 2020. Currently, it operates upgraded facilities including an automated disinfection system and situation-specific walk-through modules. As of this month, it has conducted a total of 15,000 COVID-19 tests without a single case of cross-infection. In recognition of these achievements, it was the only Korean medical institution to receive the ‘Dr. Kwang-Tae-Kim Grand-Hospital-Award’ at the ‘IHF Awards 2021’ hosted by the International Hospital Federation in Spain last November.

Director Kim said, "The medical staff and employees who have dedicated themselves to patients are the main contributors to the hospital's growth," and urged, "Through communication and collaboration, I ask the medical staff and employees to share mutual consideration and fulfillment, and to do their best in patient care with warm hearts."
