French luxury brand Dior announced that it has signed a partnership with Ewha Womans University.
According to officials, this partnership was inspired by the shared values and vision of both parties to promote gender equality within the local community and to lead the way in fostering and encouraging the next generation of female leaders for a sustainable future.
Dior will strive to fulfill its corporate social responsibility by providing comprehensive support through CSR programs such as scholarships, Women@Dior, internship programs, retail management training programs, and masterclasses by corporate leaders to Ewha Womans University students who share common values with the House. In addition, it will offer various opportunities to experience the House’s diversity and innovation, as well as a platform for exchanging individual creative ideas.
Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Dior, said, “The transmission of know-how, education, and support for the female community have always been core values at the heart of Dior’s culture. Now is the time for us to actively support young women to become future talents,” adding, “I believe Ewha Womans University is the perfect partner to accompany us in achieving these goals.”
Kim Eun-mi, President of Ewha Womans University, said, “We are pleased to collaborate with the global company Dior on behalf of Korean universities,” and added, “We hope that Ewha students will grow into talents who fulfill their roles and missions in the world by strengthening their global capabilities through various industry-academia cooperation projects with Dior, including internships, and by leading the changes of the era of hyperconnectivity.”
Under the philosophy of founder Christian Dior, who said, “Whether working or pursuing pleasure, one must always be passionate. Life must be lived with passion,” Dior provides various programs to inspire and motivate the next generation to continue moving toward greater goals and dreams.
