[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Air Premia, Korea's first hybrid airline, announced on the 28th that it will operate a non-landing sightseeing flight on the 26th of next month.
The non-landing sightseeing flight is scheduled to depart from Incheon Airport at 3:30 PM on March 26, circle over Tsushima Island, and return to the departure point at 5:30 PM. Passengers on the non-landing sightseeing flight must carry their passports when boarding the flight.
To commemorate the March non-landing sightseeing flight, Air Premia has prepared various benefits for passengers, including a premium economy 1+1 ticket purchase offer, free Wi-Fi vouchers for all seats, and duty-free shopping benefits.
There will also be a lucky draw event offering abundant prizes such as eco bags, mugs, and stuffed dolls produced by the National Aviation Museum. Additionally, customers using Shilla Duty Free, Lotte Duty Free, and Hyundai Department Store Duty Free will receive duty-free customer grade upgrades along with online and offline store discounts.
Tickets can be booked through Air Premia’s official website and reservation center. Seats are available in two classes: Economy 35 and Premia 42. The seat pitch for premium economy is 42 inches, and for economy seats, it is 35 inches, making it the most spacious among airlines worldwide.
Moreover, the premium economy seats are made from Recaro materials, famous for racing car seats and high-end stroller brands, providing passengers with a comfortable and cozy environment for medium- to long-distance travel. An Air Premia representative said, “We hope passengers enjoy the spacious seats and comfortable in-flight facilities through the non-landing sightseeing flight and have a memorable time. Once the COVID-19 situation stabilizes, we plan to expand international medium- to long-haul routes to provide a pleasant flying environment and offer various services that meet customer needs.”
Meanwhile, Air Premia has targeted the Incheon~LA route, a liberalized area, as its first long-haul route and began preparations for entry into the Americas in July last year. It is currently undergoing licensing procedures aiming for May this year. If traffic rights are allocated to Europe and other regions, it is ready to promptly commence operations. The airline plans to secure up to four aircraft this year, expand to seven next year, and ten the year after. The fleet will consist exclusively of the latest Boeing 787-9 mid-sized aircraft with a range exceeding 15,000 km.
