Samsung Electronics Unveils Galaxy Book at MWC "Next-Generation Mobile Experience"

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Samsung Electronics announced on the 28th (local time) that it will showcase a next-generation mobile experience based on an enhanced 'Galaxy ecosystem' at the 'Mobile World Congress 2022 (MWC 2022)' opening in Barcelona, Spain.

First, at the 'Samsung Galaxy MWC Event 2022' held online on the 27th (local time), the company will unveil new products in the Galaxy Book series. The next-generation 'Galaxy Book' series, which embodies the results of collaboration with Intel, Microsoft, and others, features ▲a seamless user experience across various devices and operating systems (OS) ▲excellent connectivity and mobility ▲and enhanced security technologies.

Samsung Electronics plans to exhibit the new Galaxy Book products for the first time at the MWC 2022 exhibition booth. The approximately 1,745㎡ (528 pyeong) Samsung Electronics MWC exhibition booth will be decorated with next-generation Galaxy Books and other new Samsung products. The exhibition space is designed to reflect new education and work cultures such as classes and remote work. Visitors can experience the seamless connectivity, productivity, and innovation of the Galaxy ecosystem in various spaces.

Efforts were also strengthened to target the European market with the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S8, officially released worldwide on the 25th. A specialized experience zone where visitors can directly experience the Galaxy S22 series' excellent night video shooting feature, 'Nightography,' has been prepared. Visitors can also try the S Pen of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. They can enjoy video calls with the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, the first 'Ultra' model in the Galaxy Tab series, and easily measure body composition with the Galaxy Watch4 equipped with Samsung BioActive Sensor.

The Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3, leading the foldable smartphone market, will also be showcased. At the 'Bespoke Lab,' users can experience the process of creating their own Galaxy Z Flip3 by directly combining frames and panels according to their preferences.

This exhibition also embodies Samsung Electronics' values of openness and collaboration by communicating and cooperating with various partners, developers, and designers to introduce new technologies and products. These include 'Google Duo,' which allows sharing videos and websites during video calls; 'Quick Share,' which enables large file transfers regardless of the operating system; and an integrated watch operating system (OS) that provides seamless connectivity between smartphones and smartwatches.

Finally, Samsung Electronics will introduce efforts to realize the MX Division's eco-friendly vision, 'Galaxy for the Planet.' Visitors can learn about the process of creating recycled fishing net materials applied to the Galaxy S22 series and other products.

Samsung Electronics has made about 70% of the entire exhibition area accessible after registration and plans to limit the number of visitors. Dedicated staff will frequently disinfect the exhibition hall and experience products. Exhibition guides will conduct daily self-diagnosis and welcome visitors while wearing masks and antibacterial gloves.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics will also operate large outdoor advertisements featuring the latest products such as the Galaxy S22 series around the main entrance of the MWC venue.
