‘V-nomics Era and Tourism’ … Silla University Wins Encouragement Award at Korean Hotel, Food and Tourism Management Association Idea Contest A student from Shilla University who won an award at the Korean Hotel, Food Service, and Tourism Management Society University Student Idea Contest is taking a commemorative photo.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Students from the Department of Tourism Management at Silla University won the Encouragement Award at the university student idea contest held by the Korean Hotel, Food Service and Tourism Management Association on the 10th.


The contest was held under the theme of proposing tourism ideas to revitalize regional tourism in the V-nomics era.


Second-year students Jeon Su-hee, Kim Su-hee, and Kim Chae-eun from Silla University's Department of Tourism Management proposed "The Meeting of the V-nomics Era and Tourism ? with Car Camping Travel" and received the Encouragement Award.


Since its founding in 1992, the Korean Hotel, Food Service and Tourism Management Association aims to contribute to the future development of related industries by disseminating the advanced hospitality academic knowledge to related companies.


The association has long served as a platform for knowledge sharing among scholars, related experts, and industry professionals.


Team leader Jeon Su-hee said, "Preparing for the contest was a valuable time to consider the changed tourism trends during the COVID-19 period and what forms of tourism will gain popularity in the near future after COVID-19."


Professor Kim Jeong-eun, advisor at Silla University, said, "I hope that all participating students, based on their experience of deeply contemplating the changing tourism market as tourism students, will combine the power of youth and ideas to become future tourism experts."


Since its establishment in 1983, the Department of Tourism Management at Silla University has been cultivating field-oriented tourism experts leading domestic and international tourism and leisure industries such as hotels, travel agencies, conventions, cruises, and casinos, achieving continuous student awards in various tourism and hospitality industry contests.
