"Captured the Coolness of Cuban Cigars" KT&G Launches 'Bohem Cigar Ice Fit'

New Convenience Store Releases Nationwide on March 2... Price per Pack 4,500 Won

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT&G announced on the 24th that starting from the 3rd of next month, it will newly launch the ultra-slim product ‘Bohem Cigar Ice Fit’ nationwide in convenience stores, combining the exotic sensibility and coolness of Cuba. The tar and nicotine content of Bohem Cigar Ice Fit are 1.0mg and 0.10mg respectively, and the price is 4,500 KRW per pack.

Bohem Cigar Ice Fit contains 20% Cuban cigar leaves, the homeland of cigars, capturing the unique flavor of cigars. It also features an improved cigar wrapper (cigarette paper containing cigar leaves) that wraps the cigarette to enhance smoothness and adds a refreshing coolness. The package color combines blue and yellow inspired by the Malec?n beach in Cuba, expressing richness and coolness. The design also embodies Bohem’s distinctive exotic sensibility and unique style.

The Bohem brand introduced products such as ‘Bohem Cigar NO.6’ in 2007, followed by ‘Bohem Cubana’ and ‘Bohem Cigar Slim Fit Brown.’ Last year, Bohem brand products sold approximately 124 million packs (based on convenience store sales), a more than 12-fold increase compared to about 10 million packs sold in the first year of launch. Among overseas markets, in Taiwan, Bohem has grown to account for 76% of the total export volume after being introduced there in 2010, over a period of about ten years.

Lee Ik-pyo, head of KT&G’s Bohem Brand Division, said, “We have released a new product that modernly reinterprets the atmosphere of Cuban cigars and incorporates coolness together,” adding, “We expect positive responses from consumers who prefer ultra-slim trends and have needs for casual cigar products.”
