[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] Hyundai Livart announced on the 22nd that it will launch a new brand, 'Livart Jipterior,' which consolidates specialized brands for major sectors such as kitchens, bathrooms, and windows.

Livart Jipterior is a brand that offers a one-stop service covering everything from consultation on all Livart interior products?including kitchen furniture, bathrooms, windows, flooring, and wallpaper?to space consulting, purchasing, installation, and after-sales service. Previously, Hyundai Livart introduced specialized interior brands by sector to build a total interior business portfolio, starting with 'Livart Kitchen' (kitchen furniture) in 2015, followed by 'Livart Bath' (bathroom) and 'Livart Window' (windows).

Hyundai Livart launched the total interior brand to respond to the rapidly growing demand for interior design. According to the Korea Construction Industry Research Institute, the interior and remodeling market is expected to reach 60 trillion won this year, a 44.5% increase from last year's 41.5 trillion won. The increasing proportion of aging housing is also a driving factor for the growth of the interior market. According to the '2020 Population and Housing Census' released by Statistics Korea, houses over 20 years old number 9.101 million units, accounting for half (49.1%) of all housing. A Hyundai Livart official explained, "Homes are evolving beyond residential spaces to include functions such as work, exercise, and cooking as leisure activities. We introduced a total service that designs spaces and completes final installation all at once, targeting the rapidly increasing demand for personalized, customized spaces."

The newly launched Livart Jipterior features interior package products that allow customers to freely choose materials and installation scope according to their preferences. The packages reflect life cycles and the latest interior trends with four concepts: ▲‘Airy Soft,’ targeting families of three with preschool children, featuring pastel tones and furniture with rounded edges; ▲‘French Glam,’ aimed at newlyweds who enjoy home parties, enhancing kitchen and dining functions; ▲‘Linear Chic,’ emphasizing luxury suitable for large homes over 198㎡ (60 pyeong); and ▲‘Modern Natural,’ maximizing space utilization with minimal design for telecommuting and storage.

Instead of selecting a package, customers can choose from a total of 54 types of interior furniture and building materials designed by experts to match the concept, including 22 kitchen types, 18 bathroom types, 4 window types, 5 flooring types, and 3 wallpaper types, allowing them to transform the entire home. Partial interior work for spaces such as the kitchen, living room, or master bedroom is also possible. A Hyundai Livart official stated, "We plan to continuously develop various package products that customers can choose from according to design concepts."

Hyundai Livart applied its own color manual, the ‘Livart Color Palette,’ to Livart Jipterior. This was to emphasize colors rarely seen in existing interior package products. Using pastel pink tones and vivid primary colors such as green and blue, the brand highlights diversity amid the monotonous interior designs dominated by white or wood tones. The number of color options available to customers reaches over 500.

In line with the launch of Livart Jipterior, Hyundai Livart plans to expand its directly operated showrooms and dealerships. Next month, it will open ultra-large showrooms measuring 2,752㎡ (834 pyeong) in Gangnam and 3,276㎡ (993 pyeong) in Suwon. Additionally, by the end of this year, it plans to open 14 stores in department stores and major commercial districts. The number of dealerships, currently secured at around 150, is targeted to increase to about 300 by the end of the year.

A Hyundai Livart official said, "Through Livart Jipterior, we plan to provide new experiences in all areas that make up a home, from interior furniture to materials. We will continue to upgrade Livart’s uniquely sincere and differentiated quality and services to further solidify our status as a total interior specialist company."
