[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] The prestigious golf course in the central region, Sejong Silk River Country Club & Gallery, has been reborn as ‘Serenity CC (photo)’.
On the 17th, Daum Holdings explained, "Serenity implies peace of mind, clarity and tranquility, and a clear sky," adding, "It perfectly reflects the current image of the golf course." The entire golf course site covers approximately 450,000 pyeong. The course was designed by course architect Graham Marsh and opened as a members-only golf course in 2003. After Daum acquired it in 2020, the clubhouse, course, landscaping, locker rooms, and access roads were renovated.
The clubhouse was refurbished with a stylish interior using pine wood and subtle lighting. The restaurant offers safe and reliable dining using the highest quality domestic ingredients. The course underwent extensive pruning of about 2,000 pine trees, creating an effect as if new landscaping trees were planted. The bunker sand was replaced with premium Jumunjin silica sand. Currently, construction is underway to expand the course by 9 holes. Soon, a 27-hole course will be completed.
Convenience facilities such as hot spring spas, saunas, restrooms, and locker rooms are modern and clean. A construction plan has been submitted to develop Serenity Hills, a resort within the golf course grounds. It will be a top-class ‘community’ facility that golf course members and future resort members can use and enjoy together. Additionally, development has begun on Serenity Cove to open a luxury vacation resort in Jangho Port, Samcheok, known as the ‘Naples of Korea.’
