[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System Project Group at Dongseo University held the '2021 IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System Project Performance Report Meeting' on the 15th at Paradise Hotel in Busan.

The IPP (Industry Professional Practice) type work-learning dual system is a field-centered industry-academia cooperation education model supervised by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.

The IPP system is a new industry-academia cooperation education and training designed to resolve youth unemployment caused by the manpower supply-demand mismatch between universities and companies. It combines company-linked 'long-term field training' and the Korean-style apprenticeship system called 'work-learning dual system.'

In 2021, 104 enrolled students participated in long-term field training at 47 companies. At 17 companies, 33 learning workers participated in the work-learning dual system.

The event was attended by about 70 guests, including representatives from participating companies in 2021 and new companies in 2022, outstanding participants, and university faculty and staff.

A total of 10 companies, including Club Nine Bridge, Sein Customs Corporation, SMDV, Ecomine, SMC E&IT, ATG Soft, Intown, Mapsco, Jeil Electric Industry, and Toas, were selected as companies with high participation and student support and received plaques of appreciation.

Among a total of 137 project participants, 13 outstanding participants were selected and awarded certificates and scholarships.

Dongseo University was selected as the 4th university for the IPP project implemented by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea in 2018 and has been operating the long-term field training and work-learning dual system, which are NCS-based job training courses, for five years.
