Improving Work Processes... Busan Education Office Launches Unified Messenger Text Messaging Service for Work Use Busan Office of Education.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education has added a 'Text Message Service' function to the integrated work messenger (PEN Messenger) used by its affiliated schools and institutions.

The service was added to improve educational administrative work processes and enhance work efficiency.

PEN Messenger had been used only as an internal communication tool within affiliated schools and institutions.

With this function improvement, faculty and staff can conveniently communicate with students, parents, and citizens about disasters, emergencies, and educational activities.

The 'Text Message Service' allows users to directly input the recipient's name and mobile phone number or upload them via an Excel address book.

Group messages can be sent to up to 500 recipients at once, and scheduled sending is also possible by setting a reservation date for message dispatch.

Each affiliated school and institution can use the PEN Messenger 'Text Message Service' without separate contract procedures.

This year, through a bidding process, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education linked the PEN Messenger 'Text Message Service' with the NEIS text message service, enabling each affiliated school and institution to use the 'PEN Messenger Text Message Service.'

Each affiliated school and institution only pays for the usage fees based on their actual use.

Han Dong-in, head of the Education Office Management Division, said, "We will actively support educational sites to quickly deliver and communicate necessary education-related information to education consumers."
