For Nonprofit Corporations and Nonprofit Private Organizations in Gwanak-gu Promoting Gender Equality Culture
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) is recruiting participating organizations for the ‘2022 Gender Equality Fund Public Project’ until the 10th to expand women’s social participation, improve welfare, and promote a culture of gender equality.
Eligibility to apply includes nonprofit corporations or nonprofit private organizations located in Gwanak-gu that are active in expanding gender equality participation, spreading gender equality culture, promoting gender equality, protecting women’s human rights, and improving welfare.
The project categories are divided into open competition and designated competition. The open competition includes five fields (Gender-Equal City Created Together, Safe City Based on Shared Security, Economic Vitality City Working Together, Women Participation City Growing Together, Family-Friendly City Caring Together), and the designated competition includes one field (Women-Friendly Village Creation Project) to choose from and apply.
The total project budget is 20 million KRW, with up to 5 million KRW supported per organization.
Corporations or organizations wishing to apply should check the announcement on the Gwanak-gu website (News & Notices → Public Project Notice Board), prepare the application form, organization registration certificate, articles of association (bylaws), and other required documents, and submit them by visiting the Women and Family Division on the 3rd floor of the district office or by email.
The district will select the supported projects after review by the Gender Equality Committee, considering factors such as contribution to women’s rights and welfare improvement, project feasibility and effectiveness, budget appropriateness, and recent activity performance of the organization. The selection results will be posted on the Gwanak-gu website and individually notified on February 18.
For more detailed information regarding the public project, please contact the Women and Family Division of Gwanak-gu Office.
A district official said, “Gwanak-gu has promoted the Gender Equality Fund public project every year to create women-friendly villages,” adding, “We hope that this year, too, it will be an opportunity to spread a culture of gender equality and contribute to the improvement of women’s welfare through linkage with excellent private resources.”
