Gokseong-gun Launches Employment and Startup Support for Career-Interrupted Women

Support for Career-Interrupted Women’s Employment and Entrepreneurship Training, Helping Upgrade Individual Capabilities

[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jong-sun] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 4th that it is recruiting candidates for career interruption women's employment and start-up education support until the 16th.

Once women leave the workplace due to childbirth and childcare, reemployment is not easy due to a long career gap.

Accordingly, Gokseong-gun supports employment and start-up education for career-interrupted women to upgrade their individual capabilities and help them return to the workplace.

This year, 35 people will be supported for the caregiver course, and 5 people for beauty-related certification courses (hair, nail, skincare, makeup).

The education programs were selected focusing on courses with high demand for job seekers and employers in rural areas.

The selection criteria prioritize older applicants for the caregiver course, while younger applicants are prioritized for beauty-related certification education.

The support amount varies by course. For the caregiver course, 400,000 KRW out of the total 650,000 KRW education fee is supported. For beauty-related certification education, the education fee ranges from 1,200,000 KRW to 1,800,000 KRW depending on the certification, and the maximum support amount is 600,000 KRW.

If the selected candidates complete the education at the designated institution, the support fund is paid to the institution. However, if the candidate fails to complete the course and drops out midway, the support fund will not be paid.

Those who wish to apply must visit the local town or township office of their residence by 6 p.m. on February 16 and bring a health insurance qualification certificate and a health insurance payment confirmation. Applicants who are health insurance workplace subscribers or registered business owners are excluded from support.

Last year, Gokseong-gun supported education for a total of 29 people, of whom 25 obtained certifications and 11 succeeded in employment.

A county official said, "We hope you can upgrade yourself through education and obtain better jobs."
