[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, said on the 2nd, "Unlike our candidate (Yoon Seok-yeol), who mentioned additional deployment of THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) in this election, the other candidates were opponents of THAAD deployment, so there is a clear contrast."

On the same day, Lee shared a past photo on social media (SNS) showing President Moon Jae-in, Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung, People’s Party candidate Ahn Cheol-soo, and Justice Party candidate Shim Sang-jung holding a white banner that read "Park Geun-hye's deep-rooted evils! Immediate withdrawal of THAAD."

The photo was taken on March 8, 2017, at the 33rd Korean Women’s Conference held at Seoul City Hall to commemorate International Women’s Day, where then-presidential candidates Moon, Lee, Ahn, and Shim posed with clenched fists.

Lee also mentioned, "In this photo, it is said that candidate Ahn Cheol-soo changed his position to support THAAD deployment."
