Yangcheon-gu, Recruiting Applicants for 2022 'Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Package for Pregnant Women'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) is recruiting applicants for the 2022 ‘Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Package for Pregnant Women’ support project starting from 10 a.m. on the 8th.

The program targets mothers who gave birth after January 1, 2021, and currently pregnant women residing in Yangcheon-gu, providing eco-friendly agricultural product packages worth 480,000 KRW until December 15.

The package consists of organic agricultural and livestock products, pesticide-free agricultural products, organic processed foods, and pesticide-free raw material processed foods.

There are two types: ▲ Selective type (pregnant women add needed items to a virtual shopping cart and order directly) ▲ Completed type (pregnant women choose a pre-assembled package considering price and items).

The eco-friendly agricultural product packages for pregnant women can be purchased up to 4 times per month at a designated online mall, with a minimum of 30,000 KRW and a maximum of 100,000 KRW per order. By paying 20% of the order amount as a personal contribution, the package can be delivered to the desired location.

To order the eco-friendly agricultural product package for pregnant women, a prior application procedure is required. Pregnant women who wish to receive support can apply online at the Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Shopping Mall for Pregnant Women starting from 10 a.m. on February 8, or visit the Yangcheon-gu Health and Hygiene Division to apply in person. However, those who are beneficiaries of the Nutrition Plus program at the time of application are restricted from receiving duplicate support, and after the support ends, they can apply for this project to receive the same benefits.

The district plans to select 566 beneficiaries on a first-come, first-served basis after verifying the appropriateness of submitted documents and checking for duplication with Nutrition Plus program beneficiaries.

For more details about the eco-friendly agricultural product package support project for pregnant women, please refer to the notice board on the district office website or contact the Yangcheon-gu Health and Hygiene Division.

Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, “I hope that the nutritious eco-friendly agricultural product packages will help our children grow up healthy, and also serve as a catalyst for increasing sales in agriculture, livestock, and fisheries industries and revitalizing the local economy.”
