KoAsiaElec Surpasses 1 Trillion Won in Sales Last Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] Korea Asia, a system semiconductor design solution specialist, announced on the 28th that its affiliate, Taiwan Korea Asia Electronics, recorded sales of $1.061 billion (approximately 1.3 trillion KRW) last year. This represents an increase of about 16% compared to the previous year.

The system semiconductor foundry business showed strong performance, improving overall results. Despite semiconductor supply instability, the company expanded its customer base through stable volume procurement and strategic targeting of the Greater China market.

Korea Asia Electronics is the founding company of the Korea Asia Group. Based on a strong cooperative foundation with Samsung Electronics, it has strengths in semiconductor distribution in the Asia market centered on Greater China. Korea Asia, the largest shareholder of Korea Asia Electronics, holds a 21% stake. The equity method of accounting for affiliates is reflected in the financial statements.

A Korea Asia official emphasized, "The strong performance of Korea Asia Electronics, which plays a key sales leadership role in the group, leads to the expansion of business capabilities across the group. The growth of the system semiconductor foundry business greatly helps strengthen the core businesses of the Korea Asia Group."

He added, "Korea Asia Electronics' customers are potential clients for Korea Asia's system semiconductor division, and its sales power surpasses that of typical companies entering the Greater China market and launching branches."

Korea Asia Electronics is Samsung Electronics' representative system solution mobile and IT parts distribution company in Asia, supplying Samsung Electronics products such as CIS (CMOS Image Sensor), memory, display, and foundry to major customers across Greater China.
