Renault Samsung Launches In-Car Payment Campaign for 2023 XM3 Reservation Customers


[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Renault Samsung Motors announced on the 28th that it will conduct an in-car payment campaign to commemorate the launch of the Safety Support Call Service for the first 3,000 customers who reserve the 2023 XM3.


Customers who reserve the 2023 XM3 and select a trim or option equipped with EASY CONNECT, which includes the Safety Support Call Service, will receive an in-car payment coupon worth 100,000 KRW. In-car payment is a service that allows customers to order and pay for products sold at gas stations, cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores from inside the vehicle. Through participation in this campaign, various in-car payment exclusive coupons worth a total of 100,000 KRW?including 70,000 KRW for fuel, 20,000 KRW for food and beverages, and 10,000 KRW for CU convenience stores?will be issued in the form of e-coupons via the Renault Samsung In-Car Payment app.


The Safety Support Call Service was first applied to the 2022 SM6 model. It is a service that provides emergency rescue reporting and accident handling support through a dedicated 24-hour call center in case of emergencies such as vehicle accidents. When an accident occurs and the airbags deploy, the vehicle automatically sends its current location to the call center to request emergency rescue and accident handling support.


Additionally, customers can receive emergency rescue and accident handling support from the call center by pressing the ‘SOS button’ located on the top of the roof console in case of an emergency. In the event of a vehicle breakdown, pressing the support button in the multimedia screen menu sends the vehicle status to the Easy Connect call center, enabling optimized support. Customers who have actually experienced the Safety Support Call Service in the SM6 have expressed high satisfaction, stating that it provides not only safety assurance in case of accidents but also a strong sense of psychological stability.


The Safety Support Call Service is available as a standard feature on the RE Signature trim and the newly added top trim ‘Inspire’ of the 2023 XM3. For the RE trim, it can be selected as an option, allowing customers to enjoy both convenience and safety.


This safety upgrade campaign was prepared to share Renault Samsung Motors’ interest and consideration for safety and convenience with customers. Renault Samsung Motors enhanced customer convenience and safety by adding the Safety Support Call Service to the 2023 model of the XM3, the only domestic brand coupe SUV, which began reservations on the 19th.
