On the 27th, 7-Eleven donated blood donation certificates and snacks to help children with leukemia to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation in Jung-gu, Seoul.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Seven Eleven announced on the 27th that it delivered various food items and blood donation certificates worth a total of 30 million KRW to five jjokbangchon (small room villages) in the Seoul area, the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation, and the National Food Bank ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
Seven Eleven's jjokbangchon sharing volunteer service began in 2013 and has continued for about 10 years as a representative social contribution activity. Every year, through customized support delivering essential items and food to neighbors by season, it shares warm kindness.
They delivered easy-to-consume simple porridge, instant rice, and beverages to the elderly in five jjokbangchon in the Seoul area. For the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation, they sponsored blood donation certificates and snacks prepared last year by employees joining forces to help children facing a blood shortage due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. Various sauces, beverages, and snacks were supported for the National Food Bank nationwide.
A Seven Eleven official said, “We carried out this sharing activity to help neighbors in need who are spending an even colder winter due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, even if just a little.” He added, “We plan to continue various social contribution activities so that small kindnesses can come together to deliver warm hearts.”
