Ulsan City Hall.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Ulsan City is reaching out to companies interested in participating in this year's social economy enterprise business development fund support project. Applications for the 2022 project will be accepted until February 11.
Ulsan City supports social economy enterprises in establishing a sustainable and stable revenue structure by assisting with brand and product development, technology development, and promotional marketing.
Certified social enterprises in Ulsan, regional and ministry-type preliminary social enterprises, village enterprises, and corporate self-support enterprises are eligible to participate.
For certified social enterprises, support is available up to 100 million KRW annually, and up to 50 million KRW for others. If developing a joint trademark or brand to pioneer sales channels, support can be provided up to 300 million KRW annually.
Selected companies will receive support for up to 3 years for certified social enterprises and up to 2 years for other enterprises, while village enterprises and corporate self-support enterprises that have received financial support from related ministries will benefit for 1 year.
There is a self-payment requirement depending on the round: 10% for the first round, 20% for the second, and 30% or more from the third round onward.
The city will review documents from each district and county, conduct on-site inspections, and expert evaluations, and plans to announce the results on the website by mid-March.
Applications and attachments can be submitted through the Social Enterprise Integrated Information System.
A city official stated, “This will help create jobs for vulnerable groups and discover various projects for social economy enterprises.”
