"AI Bank Teller Guides You" KB Kookmin Bank Pilot Service


[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 26th that it will pilot the introduction of AI bank clerks at its branches.


KB Kookmin Bank will sequentially introduce AI bank clerks at Yeouido Branch, Yeouido Insight Branch, and Donam-dong Branch, starting with the counselors at the Yeouido New Building AI Experience Zone.


The AI bank clerk uses AI technology to provide guidance on the use of peripheral devices capable of banking tasks such as intelligent teller machines (STM), ATMs, and pre-filled services. It can introduce KB Kookmin Bank products, inform about required documents for each service, and guide the locations of kiosks. In addition to banking services, it also offers lifestyle services such as financial knowledge, weather, and nearby facility information.


The AI bank clerk communicates with customers using voice recognition technology to understand their desired tasks. Through 'KB-STA,' a financial specialized language model developed in-house by KB Kookmin Bank, it derives the optimal answers. Even during the COVID-19 situation, using the AI bank clerk enables safe interactions and reduces customers' perceived waiting time.


A KB Kookmin Bank official stated, "We plan to advance the AI bank clerk service to introduce an AI financial assistant that can be used regardless of device or location."
