Park Chan-dae, chief spokesperson of the Democratic Party's election campaign committee, presented a solution to the delivery fee issue through a public delivery app as Lee's 9th 'Sobok Sobok (the happiness of ordinary citizens, small happiness)' pledge in a written briefing on the same day.
The Democratic Party's campaign committee emphasized, "We will revive neighborhood businesses through digital SOC such as public delivery apps to address the '10,000 won-level delivery fees' that kill small business owners twice." They added, "Delivery fees have risen from as low as 5,000 won to as high as 10,000 won. Although the government announced plans to introduce a 'delivery fee disclosure system' to publicly disclose delivery fees online starting February, it is insufficient."
They further stated, "More fundamental measures are needed," emphasizing the nationwide expansion of the public delivery app currently implemented in Gyeonggi-do.
The campaign committee explained, "Last November, Lee announced as his 15th small but certain happiness pledge that he would 'expand Baedal Teukgeup nationwide,' and reiterated the expansion of the 'public delivery platform' the day before. The public delivery platform 'Baedal Teukgeup' has already proven its effectiveness throughout Gyeonggi-do."
They also said, "As the number of participating businesses with a reasonable '1% delivery fee' increases, neighborhood businesses such as restaurants, local marts, convenience stores, and traditional markets have revived. We will expand the 'Baedal Teukgeup,' which has been verified in Gyeonggi-do, nationwide to invigorate neighborhood businesses across the country and revitalize local economies."
