MS Releases 'Surface Pro 8'... Up to 16 Hours of Use Without Charging MS Surface Pro 8

Microsoft Korea launched the laptop-tablet hybrid device 'Surface Pro 8' on the 25th.

On the same day, Microsoft Korea held an online press conference to introduce four products including the Surface Pro 8, Surface Go 3, Surface Laptop Studio, and Surface Pro X Wi-Fi. The Surface series introduced that day is based on Windows 11.

The Surface Pro 8 is equipped with 11th generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 and i7-1185G7 high-performance processors. It is the first Pro product to obtain Intel's high-performance, high-efficiency mobile PC certification program, the 'Evo platform.' It can be used for up to 16 hours without charging. The Surface Go 3, introduced in November last year, weighs 544g, making portability its strength. It supports various activities such as remote work, remote learning, video watching, gaming, and shopping.

The Surface Laptop Studio is equipped with a quad-core 11th generation Intel Core H-series processor that supports smooth design work for professionals, up to 32GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti. For business use, an additional option of the A2000 dGPU is available. It features a 14.4-inch touchscreen with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The Surface Laptop Studio will begin pre-orders on March 8 and officially launch on March 8.

The Surface Pro X Wi-Fi, despite its 7.3mm thickness and 774g weight, offers an optimized work environment through a 13-inch high-resolution PixelSense display and a 3:2 aspect ratio. It will first be sold to business-to-business (B2B) customers and later to general consumers.

Microsoft Korea also introduced the Ocean Plastic Mouse, which uses 20% recycled ocean plastic in its exterior materials. The packaging is 100% recyclable. The company announced that by 2030, it plans to produce products and packaging that are 100% recyclable, eliminating the use of single-use plastic packaging.

Jo Yong-dae, head of Surface Business at Microsoft Korea, said, "The COVID-19 pandemic has made the traditional concepts of work time and space no longer valid," adding, "The Surface series is the optimal device that safely supports work, collaboration, and leisure for anyone, anywhere, while meeting the era's demand for sustainability."
