[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, announced four actual pledges out of over 1,500 public proposals received through the 'Yoon Seok-yeol Pledge Wiki.'

On the 23rd, Yoon held a 'National Pledge Unboxing Day' at a cafe in Yeouido, Seoul, stating, "In the next government, policies will be established and executed through two-way communication between the government and the people, creating a cyclical process where policies are formed through various proposals, enabling the government to function effectively." He added, "I am pleased to feel the potential today." Park Min-young, a youth aide of the People Power Party who participated as a planner, also joined the event.

The pledges adopted from the public pledge recruitment site, Pledge Wiki, include: ▲Guaranteeing parental childcare telecommuting ▲Strengthening motorcycle traffic safety ▲Preventing misuse of health insurance subscriber information ▲A morale-boosting package for frontline firefighters.

The 'Guaranteeing parental childcare telecommuting' pledge aims to ensure flexible telecommuting work arrangements for parents raising children to balance work and family life. The government plans to provide incentives to companies that adopt this system. Oh Hyun-joo, a 30-something Oriental medicine doctor who proposed this pledge, said, "Using parental leave often leads to employment discontinuity," and added, "Small and medium-sized enterprises realistically cannot provide substitute personnel for parental leave, so employees cannot use the leave." She explained the purpose by saying, "I thought a new type of work system that allows parental leave and work-family balance is necessary."

The 'Strengthening motorcycle traffic safety' pledge includes gradually expanding the application of 'front license plates' on motorcycles to prevent accidents. It also proposes discounts on insurance premiums when safety devices such as traffic recorders are installed and plans to strengthen enforcement against illegal parking and traffic violations of two-wheeled vehicles. This policy was proposed by Shin Hyo-seop, a 33-year-old office worker.

The 'Preventing misuse of health insurance subscriber information' pledge aims to prevent the misuse of personal health insurance subscriber identities by utilizing authentication systems such as QR codes and fingerprint recognition. The purpose is to prevent unnecessary leakage of health insurance finances. This was proposed by Park Ki-beom, a private practitioner in his 30s.

The 'Morale-boosting package for frontline firefighters' pledge, proposed by an anonymous firefighter, includes restructuring the promotion system for firefighters to allow promotion based on the proportion of fieldwork. It also includes a plan to enhance the field command capabilities of fire officers by making a certain level of field experience mandatory for promotion to field command positions at the fire chief level or higher. The goal is to improve the treatment of firefighters working on the front lines.
