Nongshinbo "82 Trillion Won Guarantee Support for Farmers and Fishermen This Year"

Strengthening Support for Smart Agriculture Development and Successful Settlement of Young Farmers

[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] The Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Credit Guarantee Fund announced plans to provide guarantee support worth 8.2 trillion KRW to farmers and fishermen this year. On the 21st, Nongshinbo held the '2022 Credit Guarantee Business Promotion Strategy Meeting' at the video conference room of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation in Jung-gu, Seoul, to discuss this matter.

The meeting was attended by Yoo Chanhyung, Chairman of Nongshinbo, Lee Banghyun, Executive Director in charge of Nongshinbo at the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and heads of guarantee centers nationwide. The agenda included ▲appointment of new Nongshinbo center directors ▲awards for outstanding offices in 2021 ▲commitments to achieving 2022 business goals and practicing ethical management.

This year, Nongshinbo plans to support new guarantees worth 8.2 trillion KRW, focusing on fostering future advanced agriculture such as supporting young and middle-aged startup farmers and smart farms, as well as providing guarantee support to farmers and fishermen facing difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

In his greeting, Yoo Chanhyung, Chairman of Nongshinbo, said, “We will expand new guarantees to support the stable farming activities of farmers and fishermen. In particular, let us do our best to revitalize the rural economy by strengthening guarantee support for smart agriculture development and successful settlement of young farmers.”
