Representing North Korea's stance, the Choson Sinbo conveyed the contents of the Workers' Party Political Bureau meeting held on the 19th, stating, "If the decisions of the Political Bureau meeting are regarded as a return to 2017 when nuclear tests and ICBM test launches were conducted, and if it is seen as North Korea employing 'brinkmanship tactics' to attract the attention of the United States, that is a misjudgment."
The media outlet claimed that this decision changes the North Korea-US confrontation phase for the first time in five years, asserting, "The policy direction of activities aimed at the United States is set as 'submission through suppression.'"
It added, "Therefore, there will be no repetition of negotiations like the Hanoi talks, which assumed some kind of deal and confirmed the United States' outdated hostile policy."
The media emphasized, "The Biden administration has ultimately pulled the trigger that activates North Korea's principle of strength against strength," and "North Korea's policy direction of suppressing and forcing submission from its designated greatest adversary will become more prominent over time."
