Bentoho's 4-0 Victory Over Moldova: "Goals by Kim Jin-gyu, Baek Seung-ho, Kwon Chang-hoon"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] The Bento team secured another satisfying victory in their second friendly match of the new year ahead of the two final qualifying matches for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.


Led by head coach Paulo Bento, the South Korean national football team won 4-0 against Moldova in a friendly match held on the afternoon of the 21st (Korean time) at Mardan Stadium in Antalya, Turkey, with first-half goals by Kim Jin-gyu (Busan) and Baek Seung-ho (Jeonbuk), followed by second-half goals from Kwon Chang-hoon (Gimcheon) and Cho Young-wook (Seoul).


The team, which had achieved a 5-1 victory in their first match of the new year against Iceland at the same venue on the 15th, finished both friendly matches with a four-goal margin win.


Kim Jin-gyu and Baek Seung-ho, who both scored their first A-match goals against Iceland, as well as Kwon Chang-hoon, a key midfielder for the national team, scored in two consecutive matches. Cho Young-wook scored his debut goal in his first A-match appearance.


The national team plans to move to Istanbul, Turkey on the 22nd to continue training, then enter Lebanon on the 25th to play the 7th match of the World Cup final qualifiers.
