Boseong-gun, 2nd Emergency Disaster Relief Fund... Boseong Sarang Gift Certificates Issued

Sharing the Burden of Residents' Hardship Due to Prolonged COVID-19... Expectation to Drive Local Economy During Seollal Holiday

Boseong-gun, 2nd Emergency Disaster Relief Fund... Boseong Sarang Gift Certificates Issued

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Boseong County, Jeollanam-do announced on the 20th that following the first emergency disaster relief fund provided in April last year, the second emergency disaster relief fund will be given to residents starting from the 24th, with 100,000 won per person in Boseong Love Gift Certificates.

This decision aims to help residents who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic recover their daily lives quickly and to revive the local economy ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

Boseong County expects that this second emergency disaster relief fund will contribute to revitalizing the local economy, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19, and to restoring the income of local small business owners.

The distribution period is from the 24th to the 28th, and 100,000 won worth of Boseong Love Gift Certificates will be provided per resident.

The recipients are all residents registered in Boseong County as of midnight on the 19th (including marriage immigrants and permanent residents), totaling about 40,000 people.

From the 24th to the 26th, village officials will visit villages to conduct the first on-site distribution, and from the 27th to the 28th, reception desks will be operated at the local town and township offices for households that have not yet received the funds, allowing immediate on-site distribution.

When receiving the disaster relief fund at the town or township office reception desk, residents must visit the office that has jurisdiction over their registered address, and not only the head of the household but also one representative from the same household can receive the funds.

An ID must be brought for recipient verification.

A Boseong County official said, “We hope that this emergency disaster relief fund will provide a small but significant comfort and strength to residents struggling due to COVID-19,” adding, “Especially in response to the recent spread of the Omicron variant centered in the western region of Jeollanam-do, we will prioritize the safety of residents and do our best to implement proactive quarantine measures and responses.”
