Creating Gyeongnam Smart Future Schools... Step by Step from Planning Gyeongnam Office of Education will hold a Green Smart Future School Education Planning Consultant Workshop from the 20th to the 21st.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Office of Education held a Green Smart Future School Education Planning Consultant Workshop on the 20th.

The two-day workshop, held until the 21st, shared last year's consulting achievements and set the direction for this year. There was also a special lecture by experts to strengthen the capabilities of counselors.

This year, the Gyeongnam Office of Education will separate the preliminary planning service for the Green Smart Future School target schools into educational planning and spatial planning, implementing it over about nine months.

The educational planning workshop was organized to establish the direction of the Green Smart Future School by setting the vision for future schools, analyzing future teaching and learning methods, and analyzing school-specific educational activities.

The workshop was held three times from October to December last year with target school teachers, and a spatial planning workshop is scheduled to be held from March this year.

The Green Smart Future School project aims to renovate school buildings that are over 40 years old into future schools based on digital and eco-friendly environments, along with improving classroom environments.

In Gyeongnam, 41 schools with 59 buildings were selected in 2021, and 28 schools with 32 buildings were selected in 2022, with preliminary planning and design services underway.

Schools targeted for the 2023?2025 project will be informed of the details in February this year and the final selection will be made in May.

The Gyeongnam Office of Education emphasized that it was the first nationwide to separate preliminary planning into educational planning and spatial planning and extended the period to about nine months.

Kwon Sang-tae, head of the Future School Promotion Team, said, “Preliminary planning is important for the Green Smart Future School project, and the direction of future schools is determined accordingly. Through preliminary planning involving the educational community, we will create a Green Smart Future School where everyone is happy.”
