Park Narae's "Jusaimo": "Nine Hours of Police Questioning... Now It's Your Turn, Especially One Man"

Reveals Police Questioning Herself Via SNS
"Denied What Was Not True, Admitted My Wrongdoing"

A, the so-called "Jusaimo," who is facing allegations of having performed illegal medical procedures on celebrities over an extended period, personally revealed that she had been questioned by the police.

On February 7, A disclosed via her social networking service (SNS) account that she had "been questioned for about nine hours a few days ago," sharing the status of the investigation. She explained, "For parts that were not true, I clearly stated that they were not true, and for areas where I fell short, I acknowledged my mistakes."

She also mentioned that this case had prompted her to spend time on personal reflection. A said, "This incident made me look back on myself, and I have thought a lot about being far more cautious in my personal relationships going forward."

In addition, she stated, "As this matter is still under investigation, I ask that speculative articles or unverified information no longer spread," adding, "At present, in consultation with my legal representative, I am collecting and organizing evidence regarding the dissemination of false information, false reports, violation of portrait rights, defamation, and malicious comments, and I will respond strictly in accordance with legal procedures without leniency."

Afterward, A deleted the post and then uploaded another one featuring a photo of the exterior of the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul along with the caption, "Nine hours of questioning. Now it's your turn. Especially one man," which sparked continued controversy and led to interpretations that she might be targeting a specific individual.

Possibility That Park Narae Could Also Be Punished

The allegations surrounding A first surfaced in December last year. Former managers of broadcaster Park Narae claimed that they had received injection procedures from an unlicensed individual at a location that was not a medical institution, triggering a wider fallout. Subsequent reports alleged that numerous celebrities, including Park Narae, singer Key, and YouTuber Ipjjalpeun Haetnim, were connected to this individual.

In response, the celebrities involved have maintained that they believed A to be a medical professional holding a Korean medical license and that they understood the visits to be lawful house-call treatments. A has likewise consistently claimed that she is a doctor and that no illegal medical procedures took place.

However, claims later emerged that A does not hold a Korean medical license, and members of the medical community challenged her stated overseas medical education and career history as being inconsistent with the facts. The police have booked A on charges of violating the Medical Service Act, violating the Act on Special Measures for the Control of Public Health Crimes, and violating the Narcotics Control Act, and are currently conducting an investigation. She is already subject to an overseas travel ban, and search-and-seizure operations have been carried out.

Some observers are also raising the possibility that Park Narae could face punishment. Key issues for determining whether aiding and abetting or instigation charges may apply include whether she received medical procedures while recognizing that A was unlicensed, and whether she knew that procedures performed outside medical institutions are illegal.
