[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Naver's startup incubation organization D2SF and Kakao Investment announced on the 20th that they have jointly invested in the metaverse 3D content technology startup 'N.Dot.Light.' This is the first time that the two major portal investment affiliates have jointly invested.
N.Dot.Light is providing the solution 'N.Dot.CAD,' which allows anyone to easily create high-quality 3D content based on its self-developed 3D engine. Unlike existing professional 3D design software (SW), it features an excellent UX that enables Generation Z, the main user group of metaverse services, to create high-quality content easily and conveniently.
In particular, based on its own 3D engine, it allows delicate depictions based on lines and surfaces, and the created works can be used on various metaverse platforms such as Zepeto and Roblox.
The co-founders of N.Dot.Light have excellent technology and know-how, having developed and advanced the 3D engine themselves. The company's CEO, Jinyoung Park, has experience leading UX strategy and new service planning at Daum Communications and Samsung Electronics.
Sanghwan Yang, leader of Naver D2SF, said, "There is a very high demand for user content creation on metaverse platforms, and a reward system for that is also being established, but the process of creating 3D content is difficult in reality," adding, "We expect various creators and content to be born through N.Dot.Light's solution."
CEO Park said, "It is very encouraging that we have secured the top IT companies in Korea as strategic investment partners, and we will grow into a company that can lead the global metaverse market in the future."
