Coupang Eats 'Obscene' Menu Exposure Shocks Netizens... "Apologize"

On the 19th, it was confirmed that a menu description page with derogatory and sexual expressions toward women was displayed for a certain period under the business name 'Bunsik_test' on Coupang Eats and then deleted. While describing dishes such as bossam, hotteok, and zero-calorie cola, numerous sexual expressions appeared in the detailed description section at the bottom of the menu.

Coupang Eats users responded with comments such as "Trust in the industry itself has declined," "Is it normal to post such words on a page that can be seen by an unspecified number of people?" and "Fire the developer immediately and Coupang Eats should apologize."

Coupang Eats stated, "It is understood that this was caused by a subcontractor employee during the process of creating a test page for use in the app," and added, "We will ascertain the exact circumstances and take all legal measures, including criminal complaints."
