EgleVet Launches ‘Aminabast’, a Kidney Supplement for Pets

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] EagleVet, a company specializing in the manufacturing and sales of animal pharmaceuticals and premium feed supply, announced on the 19th the launch of ‘AminAvast®’, an amino acid kidney supplement exclusively for animal hospitals.

The newly released ‘AminAvast’ is a functional nutritional supplement that helps maintain kidney function and supports the health management of companion animals as a kidney nutrition aid.

Urinary diseases such as chronic kidney disease, which commonly occur in companion animals, are considered one of the leading causes of death in pets. Especially, elderly cats rank first. Since it is difficult to cure once detected and can become a lifelong chronic illness threatening health, early prevention and consistent management are important.

‘AminAvast’ contains the patented ingredient ‘AB070597’, which includes amino acids and peptides, and can be applied at all stages of CKD (chronic kidney disease). ‘AminAvast’ is recommended to be administered in capsule form: 1 capsule twice daily for animals weighing less than 4.5kg, and 2 capsules twice daily for animals weighing more than 4.5kg. If it is difficult to administer in capsule form, the capsule can be opened and the contents mixed with food for easier administration.

An EagleVet representative stated, “Kidney disease can be effectively managed with nutritional supplements if detected early, making it more efficient,” and added, “The response from animal hospitals currently distributing ‘AminAvast’ has been positive, so we look forward to its future.”

Meanwhile, EagleVet is the only domestic animal pharmaceutical company to have received ‘EU-GMP certification’ and supplies injectables to Australia’s Abbey and Randlab. The company is also in the final stages of a supply contract for ivermectin injectables with Finland’s Orion. Additionally, on the 13th, the company held a webinar for Korean veterinarians and plans to actively expand both domestically and internationally as a ‘Total Animal Healthcare Company’ covering both economic and companion animals.
