Board of Audit and Inspection Dismisses Public Audit Request on 'Daejang-dong Allegations'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] It was reported on the 19th that the Board of Audit and Inspection dismissed the public interest audit request related to the preferential treatment allegations in the Daejang-dong development project, filed by Kim Eun-hye, a member of the People Power Party, and others in October last year.


The Board of Audit and Inspection sent the decision document containing this information to the petitioners around the 20th of last month.


In the decision document, the Board stated, "The matters requested for audit are identical to the charges currently under investigation and trial by the prosecution," and "The audit request was dismissed in accordance with relevant regulations that exclude matters under investigation or trial from audit requests."


Internal regulations of the Board of Audit and Inspection state that "matters under investigation or trial are excluded from audit requests."
