[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Legoland Korea Resort announced on the 18th the pre-opening of the 4D cinema 'Palace 4D Cinema,' where visitors can enjoy the popular animation series 'The Lego Movie' with all five senses.
'Palace 4D Cinema' presents 4D movies from 'The Lego Movie' series, which centers on the adventures of mini-figure characters. The theater has a total of 497 seats and is equipped with a large screen and surround sound speakers. In addition to audiovisual effects, various special effects such as water, wind, bubbles, and artificial snow are added to stimulate the five senses of children and family audiences, enhancing immersion.
At Palace 4D Cinema, one of the Lego City 4D series, 'Chasing Police Officer!' will be screened. The movie vividly depicts the scene of the protagonist police mini-figure chasing a criminal for about 10 minutes. During scenes such as cutting through water currents on a boat or falling from a rooftop, actual water and wind effects are used, providing an experience as if viewers are participating in a dynamic chase alongside the protagonist. The movie is shown six times a day.
The cinema is located in the 'Lego City' zone, one of Legoland's seven clusters, which is a large city where mini-figures live. Visitors can feel as if they are entering a real theater in a bustling downtown area. The LED display board installed in front of the theater, external movie posters, and taxis in front of the theater all replicate the actual surroundings of a real theater.
Meanwhile, Legoland Korea Resort is scheduled to open on May 5th in Jungdo, Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. The theme park, featuring over 40 rides and attractions, along with the Legoland Hotel, will be established.
