[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Total sleep care brand Evejari Co., Ltd. is joining the Carbon Neutrality Practice Alliance led by the Korea Consumer Agency and is strengthening ESG management to achieve carbon neutrality.


The Carbon Neutrality Practice Alliance was formed based on a consensus that the role of companies is important in creating an eco-friendly and sustainable consumption culture. Ten companies including the Korea Consumer Agency, the Organization of Consumer and Academic Professionals (OCAP), Evejari, Yuhan-Kimberly, Nongshim, and SPC Group participated. The alliance will jointly carry out efforts such as discovering and supporting related projects and reducing plastic use throughout management activities.


Evejari will share its own carbon neutrality cases and participate in conferences and research surveys hosted by the council, carrying out projects related to ESG. Furthermore, it will cooperate in establishing an effective collaboration model for carbon reduction by pooling resources and capabilities among heterogeneous companies specializing in daily necessities and food.


For mid- to long-term promotion, Evejari established an ESG Promotion Committee. Through a dedicated organization, it will reflect ESG management indicators in major corporate decision-making, conduct eco-friendly consumption culture campaigns targeting customers, and actively reduce corporate carbon emissions.


Shin Yong-jun, Vice Chairman of Evejari, said, "Through participating in the Carbon Neutrality Practice Alliance, Evejari will continue its carbon neutrality journey more practically and systematically," adding, "We will promote company-wide carbon neutrality activities so that more than 400 dealerships nationwide and customers can empathize with and practice not only healthy sleep but also fundamental climate crisis response."
