[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] On the 16th, Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, responded with "What is the problem?" regarding the broadcast containing the phone conversation between Yoon Seok-yeol candidate's spouse Kim Gun-hee and a journalist.

Lee Jun-seok: "Kim Geon-hee's 7-hour call recording, what's the problem... There was nothing problematic"

On the same day, Lee said through social media (SNS), "I saw the content reported today," and "I think it would be better if the broadcast clearly pointed out exactly which parts are problematic."

He noted that compared to the controversy before the broadcast, it is unclear what aspects the broadcast intends to criticize.

He also advised, "Since MBC is scheduled to report again next week, it would be easier for viewers to understand if next week's report includes the media's perspective on exactly which parts are problematic and why."

Lee said, "First of all, there is absolutely no problem with a candidate's spouse expressing their own views on political or social issues," adding, "Especially in situations where they are unaware of the possibility of being reported, they can comfortably evaluate and express opinions on various matters or individuals."

He continued, "Since no one thinks about and works for the candidate more than their family during the election process, the role of family is important in all levels of elections," and added, "It is not a problem at all for the candidate's spouse to point out media outlets that raise excessive suspicions about them, to express gratitude to those who give advice, and to actively recruit personnel to form the campaign team."
