[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] On Monday, the upcoming 17th is expected to be mostly clear nationwide, becoming gradually cloudy from the afternoon.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 16th, snow will fall overnight on the 17th in the central region (excluding the east coast of Gangwon) and the northern inland of Gyeongbuk, and rain or snow is expected in Jeonbuk and Jeju Island.
Expected snowfall amounts are around 1 cm in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Chungbuk, eastern Jeonbuk, mountainous areas of Jeju Island, Ulleungdo and Dokdo; less than 1 cm in the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungnam region, western Jeonbuk, northern inland Gyeongbuk, Jeju Island (excluding mountainous areas), and the five western islands.
In the northern part of Jeonnam, southern inland Gyeongbuk, and northwestern inland Gyeongnam, less than 0.1 cm of snow may fall or raindrops may be observed.
The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between -16 and -2 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between -3 and 7 degrees Celsius. Fine dust levels are predicted to be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions.
Sea waves are expected to be 1.0 to 2.5 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea coastal waters. Wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) are forecasted to be 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 4.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.
