Labor Corporation Dahyun (CEO Certified Labor Attorney Kim Kwang-tae) announced that on December 29, 2021, it conducted a 'Customized Workplace Safety and Health Management System Establishment Guide Lecture for Responding to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act' for member companies of the Korea Mechanical Equipment Construction Association.
This online lecture was held in response to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, which came into effect on January 27. Upon the request of the Korea Mechanical Equipment Construction Association, Labor Corporation Dahyun participated in the production of the 'Safety and Health Management System Establishment Guidebook for Serious Accident Prevention,' which was distributed to all member companies of the association. The lecture focused on practical and on-site aspects to enable construction workplaces facing industrial safety tasks to establish and operate safety and health management systems according to the guidebook.
The approximately one-and-a-half-hour lecture began with an overview of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and proceeded to explain the establishment of regulations such as manuals and procedures for building the safety and health management system, the roles and responsibilities (R&R) and work process settings for safety and health tasks, and checklists for performing safety and health duties. Through real-time Q&A, in-depth interactive communication regarding the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and safety and health management systems was conducted.
In particular, Labor Corporation Dahyun organized a Serious Accidents Punishment Act Response TF team and maintained ongoing collaboration with the Korea Mechanical Equipment Construction Association throughout 2021 regarding the Act. The corporation participated in drafting the enforcement decree of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and in producing the safety and health management system establishment guidebook, providing specialized legal services related to the Industrial Safety and Health Act and the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
Kim Kwang-tae, CEO Certified Labor Attorney of Labor Corporation Dahyun, stated, “Following the publication of the safety and health management system establishment guidebook, the customized lecture on key points of establishing the system was conducted to help resolve the practical difficulties faced by small construction workplaces regarding the current issues of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.” He added, “Since industrial accidents and serious accidents can be prevented in advance through active interest and preparation by workplaces, it is necessary for construction workplaces to understand the importance of various safety and health regulations and record documents and respond proactively through this lecture,” urging workplaces to take swift action.
