"Is there a case of death immediately after vaccination, not just a few days?"
"Please help the deceased so their death is not in vain," an appeal made to the government
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] The family of a person who received Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine third dose (booster shot) in the United States claims that the family member died just over two hours after vaccination.
On the 6th, a petition titled "I lost my family due to the 3rd booster shot" was posted on the Blue House National Petition Board. The petitioner said, "My sister-in-law died on the day she received the 3rd vaccine," adding, "We trusted the country and made that decision, but my 10-year-old nephew lost his mother, and my brother became a widower at the age of 46."
According to the petitioner, his sister-in-law, Ms. A, received the booster shot around 11 a.m. on the 29th of last month and then returned home. Around 2 p.m., Ms. A's son tried to wake her by shaking her, but she showed no response. Ms. A was immediately taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The petitioner claimed that Ms. A was a healthy person without any underlying conditions. He said, "The investigating officer and the hospital estimate that my sister-in-law died within 1 to 2 hours after vaccination," adding, "She had no underlying diseases and was a full-time housewife who paid great attention to her health because she had a young son."
He continued, "The autopsy revealed death due to cerebral hemorrhage. However, the causal relationship with the vaccine was not recognized," and expressed, "As a family who lost a loved one, we feel very wronged and frustrated. Our entire family agreed with the government's policy, actively got vaccinated, and even encouraged others, but after losing a family member, we feel resentment."

He added, "I am worried whether my brother, now a widower, can focus on work while grieving the loss of his wife," and shared the family's situation, saying, "My nephew has to stay alone until his father returns from work, and although the grandparents want to take care of him, the distance and their knee problems make it very difficult."
The petitioner said, "I don't think I've ever seen a case in the news where someone died immediately after vaccination, not even a few days later," and expressed frustration, "If the country does not acknowledge such cases as side effects, how can we trust the country and get vaccinated? Who should we blame and who should comfort us?"
He appealed again, saying, "If she hadn't been vaccinated, my sister-in-law would have been alive to welcome the New Year and celebrate Seollal together," and urged, "Please help so that the deceased's death is not in vain and do not betray the citizens who trusted the country."
Meanwhile, according to data from the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team, as of that day, there were 418,747 suspected adverse reaction cases after vaccination. Among them, general adverse reactions such as muscle pain and headache accounted for 96% (403,220 cases), and serious adverse reactions accounted for 3.7% (15,525 cases).
The total cumulative number of vaccinations, including the 1st and 2nd doses, reached 103,859,964 as of that day. The adverse reaction reporting rate was 0.40% overall, with 0.53% for the 1st dose, 0.40% for the 2nd dose, and 0.12% for the 3rd dose. Regarding this situation, the Promotion Team explained, "The adverse reaction reporting rate after the 3rd vaccination is lower compared to the 1st and 2nd doses."
