[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] RF Semi, a semiconductor device specialist company, announced on the 5th that it will jointly showcase with Ghenus Bio, a sterilization lamp specialist company, its Far UVC lamp and a conbulb LED lamp equipped with GaN power semiconductors at 'CES 2022' held in Las Vegas, USA, from the 5th (local time) to the 7th.
RF Semi's Far UVC lamps (model names: Lavender222nm, Sana222) have shorter wavelengths than the UVC used in typical sterilizers, providing high sterilization power while being harmless to the human body.
As a result, these products can be installed in everyday spaces and continuously sterilize the area to reduce the probability of virus transmission.
They can be easily installed by anyone using fixtures such as ceiling mounts and can be used for up to 3,000 hours with a power consumption of 10W. Usage time can be checked and controlled through a smartphone app connection.
The newly released conbulb LED lamp is mainly used for street lamps, sidewalk lights, and park lights, and is based on RF Semi products that have held the number one market share in the domestic procurement market for two consecutive years. It is equipped with GaN power semiconductors produced in-house, improving performance and functionality.
By applying GaN power semiconductors to the LED driver, the product reduces heat generation and maximizes light efficiency, allowing easy replacement of existing mercury and metal lamps. It also operates with an input voltage of AC100~277V, making it usable not only in Korea but also in power sources worldwide.
Starting with this exhibition launch, RF Semi plans to intensify its entry into the U.S. market through the sales network of Ghenus Bio in the United States.
